OPAN is the first Brazilian indigenous organization, founded in 1969. It works for different indigenous cultures throughout the region, through the empowerment of their culture and the management of their territories and natural resources, through sustainable practices. The organization has worked throughout its history with more than 10 indigenous peoples in Brazil.
