Instructions for including new fishing sites
- Make sure you have your coordinates in decimal degrees. For example, latitude: -0.4429, longitude: -76.51793. If they are still in geographic coordinates (degrees, minutes, and seconds), please convert them to decimal degrees. Between four and five decimal places is considered ideal precision.
- Each site must have a unique name, following the nomenclature name of the site-area or main basin-name of the water body. For example: Iquitos-Amazon Basin-Nanay River.
- If it is a market or port, specify in the name. For example: “Iquitos: Mercado de Belén”.
- Put the name and coordinates of the new fishing site on this spreadsheet (VProximo Sites Update sheet). Make sure you fill in columns A, B and C.
- If you want to remove sites, use columns F and G. If you want to change coordinates (move a site), use columns I-M). If you want to change the name of a site, use the O-S columns.
